We read good reviews about this place and it really was excellent. We were visiting from Georgia and wanted to try Mediterranean food in Fairbanks. What better place than what it's famous for?! Aurora! It's a simple looking place, we think more for take out than dine in. We dined in. The owner greeted us with a smile and answered our questions with patience. We ordered chicken shawarma and steak kabob with fries and lentil soup. Every item was absolutely delicious! 👌🏼😋 Owner came to ask us how everything was. Once we were done we asked him where to put our dirty dishes. He just waved at us and said don't worry. That was very sweet. Thank you for your hospitality. Highly recommend eating there.
This is hands down my favorite place to eat in Fairbanks. This is the only restaurant that I frequent and I have never been disappointed. All of their food is delicious. Some of my favorites are the gyro bowl, kofta kabob entre, and my new favorite is the chicken shawarma wrap - this is perfect for lunch! Their prices are super reasonable, especially since they are not stingy with portion sizes. Their service is also great. I order pickup regularly and they are already grabbing my order before I even get up to the line. Obviously I cant say enough good things!
It was very delicious! We just loved the authentic atmosphere and the Mediterranean food. It has been a long time since we experienced really authentic Mediterranean Arabic food, and it was exquisite. We enjoyed the Arabic music, it brought us nostalgic feelings. The staff and owners were extremely nice and welcoming, we really enjoyed our time at the restaurant, and we will come again!
Food was very good!! I definitely recommend the bowls, you can choose two salads and two spreads to add! So tasty, highly recommend!
It looks like a hole in the wall but tastes like a million dollars. This place has the real deal with a wide selection of delicious Mediterranean food. If that's not your preference, theyncan easily customize it for your palette. Came in with a group of 6 and were quickly served. We all ate and were stuffed to the brim in the best way possible. The steak was even better than some of the local restaurants!
Very friendly and polite staff! We ordered two bowls — one chicken shawarma and one steak shawarma. The order was ready super fast, literally in about five minutes. And it was really delicious!
This place offers authentic Lebanese food. So good! The lentil soup is amazing. And its the best hummus I have ever had! We bought extra food to anack on at the hotel! I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was great. I did the small hummus with pita bread and steak shawarma. both had great flavor and i the portions were great if you are hungry. I would recommend this place for sure
Aurora Mediterranean always has excellent service, a clean restaurant and the food is always delicious. While I waited I had a cup of tasty hot tea. The Gyro was wrapped neat, tidy and tightly packed with a balance of meat and veg. The Mixed Grill plate with rice was full of flavor and plenty for leftovers. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Delicious and quick food. I ordered a chicken musakhan bowl with spice. It was more spicy than I can comfortably eat but it was so delicious I didn’t stop. The chicken was tender and all the flavors in the bowl complemented eachother well. Aurora tea and baklava were very good.
